About Annie Louvaine
I have lived and worked all my life in the beautiful region of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park in the North of England in the U.K. From as long as I can remember I have always been painting, making, reading and exploring spirituality. Inspiration for my paintings and poems come from the nature and rural landscape around me and especially the magical landscape of woodland, moor and streams. I have been studying the ancient folklore of the Celtic British tradition for many years. This has followed a natural progression into an interest in shamanism, deep ecology and earth based spirituality. My ongoing spiritual practice, the landscape around me and the history, myths and legends of the Ancestors of this land continues to deeply inspire me and are woven together to inform my painting and illustrative art practice.
